Young Israeli industrial designer Talia Mukmel's work, as a whole, is a clear representation of the her personal views of the world. She intriguingly concentrates both her process(es) and final product around specific aspects and scenarios closely related to her life. Her contemporary terra cotta basketry, presented in two series, is no exception:

" The inspiration of the project was taken from studying the different tribes in Africa. The main point that guided me were the prominent characteristics that distinguish various fields of life each and every tribe. At the beginning  they  had a basic way of life that developed to a tradition characterised by the way they dress, their  language, and the different ceremonies they held. " - Talia Mukmel  [ TERRA COTTA ]
