Whilst there may not be anything revolutionary about BAJA EAST, there's an undeniable ease and simplicity in their garments that made me stop and take note. I've long been a fan of Balinese fabrics (having owned many vintage batik dresses over the years) now seeing them somewhat reconstructed into looks that can aptly be described as "ambisexual" and paired with crisp white sneakers (I'm not sure I'll ever tire of sneakers), was for me a simple stroke of genius. Without doubt though, my favourite of all the looks was the first pictured above, perhaps it's due to the fact it looks a lot like many of the dresses I have owned, free flowing and floor-length. Either way, I'm feeling incredibly inspired for the Australian Spring that has just begun, and that's what it's all about.
