[ SPACES ] BEA MOMBAERS EVER-EVOLVING BED & BREAKFAST, KNOLLE BELGIUM

I was introduced to Bea Mombaers' Bed & Breakfast in Knokke, Belgium quite some time ago and have watched it change and grow (ever-so-slightly) ever since. I remember being immediately in awe of its: lovingly refurbished interiors; the carefully collected, thoughtfully curated designer furniture from the '50s through to the '80s; the apparent attention to textural detailing; the tonal colour palette that only serves to accentuate each piece; the innate use of space within each room and of course, the undeniable attention to detail and indeed, the love bestowed upon the placement of each and every object within the home. Bea Mombaers herself is the driving force behind it all, she is a collector of sorts (with an online store selling much of what she finds) and her deep respect for the process of collecting and the notion of preserving furniture, objects and art is perhaps best displayed in this Bed & Breakfast  - a source of great inspiration to all of the collectors amongst us, myself included.
