[ SPACES ] AN ARCHITECT'S DUPLEX IN SWITZERLAND

There is an intuitive dialogue running seamlessly throughout this cottage, sitting proudly on the top floor of a converted duplex in Andermatt, Switzerland, it lived previously as a train station. All 500 square metres of floorspace and the 8 metre high ceilings did not pose a threat to the warmth the building still manages to resonate, in spades, in its converted state. The masterful way in which each of the interior architectural elements - wood, steel and glass come together, is only heightened by the restraint applied to the interior furnishings. Though each piece alone has its own beautiful moment, together... they sing.
