[ COVETED ] CAROLINE WALLS x THE UNDONE

Caroline Walls x The UNDONE launch a series of exclusive prints to celebrate the female form.

Melbourne based artist Caroline Walls has produced a series of limited edition prints available exclusively and in collaboration with The UNDONE, focusing on the female form.

The collaboration came about through a shared appreciation for minimalism, a streamlined colour palette and to desire to celebrate women.

Walls, through her work is interested in creating a dialogue “around the empowerment of women and the continued pursuit for equality – I want my works to feel bold, unapologetic and proud” The UNDONE innately connects with Caroline’s desire to empower women making it the ideal partnership via both ethos and aesthetic.

The four-piece series are prints of charcoal drawings produced on fine art paper by Walls. Each piece is a statement work on its own or can be coupled together to create a broader narrative

With The UNDONE celebrating its first anniversary in July the store will continue to expand its offering with the belief that when you enjoy a minimal aesthetic it doesn’t just stop with what you wear, it extends to all areas of your life.

The Limited-edition Prints make up a series of four exclusive works retailing at $120.00 per print, first release will be limited to 25 of each print.

 Available Online: 1st August 2017 via www.theundone.com

[ ART ] BUTLER : CLARITY IN CONTENT

B  U  T  L  E  R

' ... works predominantly capture the confidence of women with equally confident and precise lines, each stroke emphasizing the delicateness of their femininity. The illustrations feature women in their most natural element, nude, or half nude. Butler captures the myth of nudity and its synonymity with the erotic by dangling it upside down by the feet as a celebratory exhibit of the female form. It is precisely the artist’s unflinching clarity of vision that allows him to express something complex in as few lines as possible, allowing the audiences to discover the emotion, thoughts and make the connections themselves, filling in their own gaps, rather than imposing them.'
