I continually find myself in awe of nature and how incredible and resilient it can be. I've had my own Resurrection Plant/Rose of Jericho for a couple years so I immediately fell in love with these time lapse captures. The Rose of Jericho (Selaginella lepidophylla) is a species of desert moss that can remain dry in a dormant state for up to 50 years, only to revive itself completely in water in a matter of hours. As it drys in drought conditions it curls into a tight ball so it can roll to new locations. Going wherever the wind takes it, it will rehydrate and plant itself once it finds water.
