THE LINE HOTEL, located in KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES, is one of those spaces I frequently get glimpses of on instagram. It seems to be the new 'go-to' when in LA for both accommodation and food. Having been suitably intrigued by what was appearing in those infamous small square boxes, I decided to do a little investigating for myself. You see, my husband and I are about to embark on another US trip this May, and this time, we want to be quite forthright in our planning, forming a concise list of places we want to go, especially as the LA portion of our trip will be purely holiday. Though we will have the pleasure of staying with some dear friends, it certainly won't stop us visiting THE LINE HOTEL, even if just to eat in the cafe, which in all of its green glory, looks utterly spectacular.
There's just something about the approach to architecture and interior design within California that really speaks to me on a number of levels. I think having experienced it first hand last year, I noticed the notoriously 'laid-back' nature of the famed 'LA Cool,' where everything seems to have an experiential element. THE LINE HOTEL is no exception. Designed excruciatingly well by KNIBB DESIGN, the way each of the hotel's rooms celebrates texture, tone and injects colour, playfully, referencing the cityscape it overlooks, is just brilliant. Who knows, maybe just one night, the two of us, is calling...?
