I constantly have to remind myself that the two women behind THE ROW, are childhood stars Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. Perhaps it's as I grew up as a child in the 80s watching Full House and can't quite seem to get my mind to make that all-important switch from comedy to (the epitome of) chic?! I know now however, writing this, that's it's about time I did. The Olsen sisters have, after all, successfully created collection after collection since 2006 (in 2012 Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen were even named Womenswear Designers Of The Year by the CFDA) - where attention to fit, fabric, and a strong desire to create clothing that's timelessly elegant reigns supreme. For me, there's something about the way their clothing falls effortlessly from a woman's body, their innate understanding of proportion and their fierce loyalty to simplicity. It seems STYLE.COM too have them figured out "... American sportswear as pared back as it is luxurious—austere and graceful in equal measure."
In short, every time I see a new collection by THE ROW, I desperately want to be that woman, and I know many women who feel the exact same, PRE-FALL 2015 is no exception; that's nothing but good news for the Olsen sisters.
