[ COVETED ] PARI DESAI FW16

As an in-house designer at one of the last knitting factories in North America, as well as having previously designed for the likes of Calvin Klein and TSE in New York before heading knitwear design at A.L.C in Los Angeles for a number of years, it's evident Pari Desai knows her knitwear. She attributes her time in North America, where she worked directly with the craftspeople, as the catalyst for her ongoing focus - creative textile development. Her namesake label, Pari Desai is a culmination of all of the above.

We are no strangers to Desai's work at NEST, our contributing stylist Sissy-Sainte Marie is an avid fan of her label and regularly uses her knitwear in editorial shoots - she also worked closely with Desai on her FW16 Lookbook.  This latest collection further highlights the striking subtle textures knitwear affords a designer. Feminine silhouettes suitable for light layering work directly back into one's wardrobe, adding dimension whilst retaining the clean lines of each piece. There's a natural, chic balance that's innate within Desai's knitwear, a luxury that quietly unravels within each carefully considered proportion; each layer, each line, each piece.
